BRAVES NEWS Braves lose potential 3B option as Todd Frazier signs with MetsTodd Frazier would have been an intriguing choice for the Braves as they search for an upgrade at third base, but no more, as he signed a two-year, $17 million deal with the Mets on Monday. The signing is bothersome in multiple ways, with the division-rival Mets improving at a very reasonable cost for a veteran third baseman with solid power production. Oh well.Fangraphs just posted their top 100 prospects and the Braves have 10 of themThree prospect lists were unveiled on Monday, with FanGraphs among them. Their list is among the most well-respected in baseball circles, and should get a lot of love from Braves fans as it featured ten Braves in the top 100.Okay, now that you are back, the Braves have Ronald Acuna (2) Bobby Cox Jersey, Kyle Wright (24), Luiz Gohara(31), Mike Soroka , Cristian Pache (37), Ian Anderson (45), Austin Riley (55), Touki Toussaint (60), Max Fried (78), and Joey Wentz (84). That is ten players in the top 84 and six in the top 50. That is a lot.ZiPS Top 100 List is Out. You Should Be Excited.The next list we will examine is courtesy of ZiPS, and features a large contingent of Braves in very prominent positions in the top 100.ESPN Dan Szymborski completed his top 100 ZiPS projections and the Braves landed 8 players on the list Acuna (1) Tyler Flowers Jersey, Gohara (7), Soroka(14), Riley (27), Wentz , Bryse , Kolby (58), Wright (76).The Braves had seven players on BP list in Acuna, Allard, Soroka, Wright, Wentz, Gohara, and Anderson, but their order is certainly notable as it is...certainly not an order we have seen yet. While a chunk of those that coverage prospects have downgraded, to varying degrees, Kolby Allard stock....BP has him as one the top 25 prospects in baseball. BP also has Luiz Gohara the 5th best prospect in the Braves’ farm system and did not rank Austin Riley (who has gotten quite a bit of love this offseason) at all while ranking Joey Wentz in the top 50.
